 By God's grace we were able to raise over $17,000 for this years Advent Conspiracy offering. We are using approx. $7000 for a well in Zambia, $5000 to help a medical student in Liberia, $2500 for Dinner & A Movie and the rest we'll save for special needs that arise!

Advent.

Advent, which means "coming," is the season when the church prepares to celebrate the birth of Christ and engages in self examination in expectation of his second coming. The focus of Advent is twofold: first, it is the contemplation and celebration of the past experience of Christ's incarnation at Christmas; second, it is the present preparation for the future experience of his sudden second coming. This preparation takes the form of prayer with an emphasis on repentance, expectation and joy.

Advent Wreath.

Advent is often celebrated with a wreath of five candles. On the four Sunday's preceding Christmas, a candle will be lit. Each candle has a meaning and will serve as our theme for that particular Sunday.

 Advent Conspiracy.

Advent Conspiracy is an international movement restoring the scandal of Christmas by substituting compassion for consumption. It is a catalyst to help churches and organizations equip their people to engage in the Christmas story in a way that will transform their people and as a result bring transformation to the world through their people, as the worship Christ at Christmas.

At its heart, it is an attempt to participate in Christmas in such a way that our participation is a reflection of the event, and the Person being celebrated.

To do this, we are inviting you into four aspects of the Advent Conspiracy:
