The Table

  At The Table, we desire for every person to live out the values of The Table in community; a sharing of life on life. Obviously, this cannot be fully experienced within a worship service, nor was it intended to be. Worship services, while very important, cannot supply a large enough framework for people to truly live out their lives together. To help people on their journey to live out our values together, we have created our LifeGroups.
  These LifeGroups are designed to be the places and the context in which people can fully explore our values. Our LifeGroups should be places where Authentic Community, through intimate relationship is both offered and received. They must be places where people can know and be known, where people can love and be loved. Our LifeGroups should be places exuding Worship & Beauty, where people from The Table express their worship to God in diverse ways as a reflection of their inherent beauty as image bearers of God. They must be places where Truth & Meaning is not only discovered, but is wrestled with and worked out in community. Lastly, our LifeGroups need to be places where not only are we prepared to live out a Missional Journey, but we are supported and encouraged as we together live a Missional Life as a community. Our LifeGroups should be places that anyone, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey, can feel comfortable, valued, and loved. They should be places, where people come to understand and appreciate the message of the gospel.
  We want our LifeGroups to be defined by intention and integration. Intention is the heart of transformation. There is an old cliché that says “If you aim nothing you'll hit it, every time.” It is our hope and prayer that the men and women of The Table will live lives that are proactive rather than reactive. We want our LifeGroups to be places where you can intentionally invest your life in the Kingdom. Even more so, we want our LifeGroups to be a connecting point for the often segmented areas of our lives. Our LifeGroups provide a place where you can weave together the various threads of your life, merging your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and others within your sphere of influence into the life of The Table. For this reason, it is our desire for people to choose LifeGroups, with geography as the primary determinative factor. Rather than forming groups based on affinity, social status, ethnic background, gender, or age, we encourage people to participate in the LifeGroup that can best serve to integrate the various segments of their lives according to geography.
  So what can you expect at one of The Table's LifeGroups? We hope that you will find our LifeGroups to be a beautiful mess. We know that each group, each time it meets, will have a unique and distinct experience based on the needs, joys, struggles, experiences, and perspectives of the unique individuals in that place. There will be prayer, art, sharing, laughing, tears, struggle, mission, worship, discussion, debate, conflict, resolution, and all of the other beautiful messy things that life brings our way. Above all, it will be a place where you can find some friends for the journey of your life.
