Our Values

Jesus' values stand at the heart of everything we do.  Our values are born from our understanding of the Gospel and are the driving convictions that define and guide our community.

Truth & Meaning

To be transformed by the Word of God.  To be formed into the image of Jesus.

The Table is a community of people bringing the truth of God's story to bear on every aspect of our lives that we may reflect Him in all that we do.We believe that the message and life of Jesus brings about the radical transformation needed by everyone.

Jesus said:  "One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4).  "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" (Matthew 16:24).

Worship & Identity

To discover God.  To live out our God-given design and destiny.

The Table is a community of people determined to discover who God is, who God designed us to be, and what God has called us to do.  We believe every individual is intentionally crafted by God with a unique purpose to reflect His glory in our calling.

Jesus said:  "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).  "I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them" (John 17:26).  "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it"  (Matthew 10:39).  "This is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.  I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do" (John 17:3-4).

Authentic Community

To know and be known.  To love and be loved.

The Table is a community of people learning to live authentically in relationship with God and those made in His image.  We believe everyone is made in God's image, hardwired for relationship with God and each other.

Jesus said:  "No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you" (John 15:15).  "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 10:27).  "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another.  Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:34-35).

Missional Journey

To continue the work of Jesus.  To communicate the message of Jesus.

The Table is a community of people determined to bring the reality of the gospel, both in word and deed, to our families, neighborhoods, city and ultimately, the world.  We believe the church has been commissioned to be a people of influence, living the gospel before everyone, everywhere.

Jesus said:  "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8).  "Go therefore and make disciples of all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19).
